9/8/2011 - This might actually be something

So I'm sitting here watching the news before the game ... and this is what's going on:

1. Presidential speech
2. Ambiguous terror alert
3. Massive power outage in SoCal
4. Massive flooding on the East coast
5. NFL opening night
6. 4 tropical active systems
7. Massive wildfires in Texas
8. Markets in high volatility
9. Europe in sovereign debt crisis
10. 9/11 tenth year anniversary

I am usually the last person to be prone to hysteria and/or hyperbole, and I'm not even suggesting that this isn't just the typical thursday ... but what grabbed my interest is that there's seldom this amount of apparent events waived before the public. Usually fear marketing is more precisely targeted and more judiciously dispersed.

Yet here we are with a strobe light of events before our eyes ...
